Reward management is one of the most strategic components in Human Resource Management, which can be used by organisations to remain competitive. This course enables students to have in-depth understanding of reward management. The course put more emphasis on the need to link reward management systems with the organisational objectives, as reward management is strategic in nature. The environmental factors affecting reward management, approaches to reward management, job evaluation and contemporary issues in reward management will be tackled to enable students to understand how reward management should be cost effective and performance enhancing for the organisation. External, internal, and individual equity in enhancing effective rewarding for the employees will also be discussed. The course positions the students to be able to utilise rewards in gaining competitive advantage for organisational success.
