This course focuses primarily on the practical issues and skills needed to develop an online or blended course using Moodle. It serves as an introduction for university lecturers new to online or blended learning.
Note: This course is under continual review and updating to ensure incorporation of emerging theories and methods of teaching.

Introduction & Concept Mapping
In this first part of the course, you'll introduce yourself to the fellow course participants, learn about some general eLearning concepts and how to create mind maps using open source (free) software. It's also an opportunity for the course teachers and moderators to learn about your expectations from the course, to ensure we are meeting your personal objectives from the course.

If they can't find the activity, or it's in the wrong section of your course, they'll get confused. In this topic we'll give you some ideas for how you can structure your course online, adding narrative and course 'scaffolding'.
